A survey on hysteresis modeling, identification and control

چکیده
The various mathematical models for hysteresis such as Preisach, Krasnosel’skii–Pokrovskii (KP), Prandtl–Ishlinskii (PI), Maxwell-Slip, Bouc–Wen and Duhem are surveyed in terms of their applications in modeling, control and identification of dynamical systems. In the first step, the classical formalisms of the models are presented to the reader, and more broadly, the utilization of the classical models is considered for development of more comprehensive models and appropriate controllers for corresponding systems. In addition, the authors attempt to encourage the reader to follow the existing mathematical models of hysteresis to resolve the open problems. & 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Hysteresis Modeling, Identification and Fuzzy PID Control of SMA Wire Actuators Using Generalized Prandtl-Ishlinskii Model with Experimental Validation
In this paper, hysteretic behavior modeling, system identification and control of a mechanism that is actuated by shape memory alloy (SMA) wires are presented. The mechanism consists of two airfoil plates and the rotation angle between these plates can be changed by SMA wire actuators. This mechanism is used to identify the unknown parameters of a hysteresis model. Prandtl–Ishlinskii method is ...
متن کاملNonlinear Dynamic Modeling and Hysteresis Analysis of Aerospace Hydro - dynamical Control Valves
A new procedure for deriving nonlinear mathematical modeling for a specific class of aerospace hydro - mechanical control valves is presented. The effects of friction on the dynamic behavior of these types of valves along with the experimental verifictions are also given. The modeling approach is based on the combination of the following three tasks: decomposition of the valve into simple speci...
متن کاملExperimental Hysteresis Identification and Micro-position Control of a Shape-Memory-Alloy Rod Actuator
In order to exhaustively exploit the high-level capabilities of shape memory alloys (SMAs), they must be applied in control systems applications. However, because of their hysteretic inherent, dilatory response, and nonlinear behavior, scientists are thwarted in their attempt to design controllers for actuators of such kind. The current study aims at developing a micro-position control system ...
متن کاملModeling SMA actuated systems based on Bouc-Wen hysteresis model and feed-forward neural network
Despite the fact that shape-memory alloy (SMA) has several mechanical advantages as it continues being used as an actuator in engineering applications, using it still remains as a challenge since it shows both non-linear and hysteretic behavior. To improve the efficiency of SMA application, it is required to do research not only on modeling it, but also on control hysteresis behavior of these m...
متن کاملModeling and Identification of the Rate-Dependent Hysteresis of Piezoelectric Actuator Using a Modified Prandtl-Ishlinskii Model
Piezoelectric actuator (PEA) is an ideal microscale and nanoscale actuator because of its ultra-precision positioning resolution. However, the inherent hysteretic nonlinearity significantly degrades the PEA’s accuracy. The measured hysteresis of PEA exhibits strong rate-dependence and saturation phenomena, increasing the difficulty in the hysteresis modeling and identification. In this paper, a...
